AVNEET’S FRIENDSHIP AWARDS (AFA)

Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to Avneet’s Friendship Awards. This event is being specially held to honor all my friends, who, over the years have been a constant source of inspiration, support and a BIG reason for the chirpy bubbly Avneet you know. I know writing a blog does not make up for all that they’ve done for me or to express what they mean to me, but it’s a small way of saying thank you and letting them know that they are always cherished.

A very important announcement before we start. As you will go through this blog many of you may notice the absence of a particular name. Just to make it clear, he is not being mentioned here not because he means less to me, but rather because he qualifies for all these awards and by giving him only one or two out of these I don’t want to categorize him.

Ok, so let us begin. Let me make it clear that these awards here are not in any particular order. All of them hold equal importance for me.

The first is the AFA for “best flirting” which goes to Mr HARSHVARDHAN ARORA for his pathetic attempts at flirting with me and convincing me that he was the right guy for me (and for many others :P)

The second is the AFA for “forgetfulness” which undoubtedly goes to Mr GAURAV JUYAL for his streak of madness and forgetful nature. It is for his feeble attempt at remembering birthdays or me for that matter but yet making me feel special.

The third AFA is for “masti” which goes to Ms VANDANA VIJAYKUMAR for all the wild times I’ve spent with her. Unfortunately, she could not be present to collect the award.

Fourth in line is the award for “pampering” which goes to Mr MAYANK LAKHANPAL for spoiling me to the core, much to the displeasure of others and for being there for me.

Next award is for “lovable” which goes to Ms MALLIKA MALHOTRA for all her ‘darlings and sweethearts’ and for being so painfully nice and caring

The sixth award is the “ipod buddy” which goes to Ms MONICA JASSI for sharing my ear plugs and enjoying all the crazy songs with me.

The seventh AFA is for “messaging buddy” which goes to Mr UTKARSH NIGAM for messaging with me in all the boring classes about anything and everything.

Next in line is the AFA for “caring and loving” which goes jointly to Mr an
d Mrs AMRINDER AND DILRAJ ARORA for taking care of me and helping at every difficulty I’ve faced.

The ninth AFA is for “understanding” and the winner is Ms SONAM DHINGRA for always understanding and patiently bearing with me and my mood swings

Last, but not the least is the AFA for “expert advice” which goes to Ms ADITI GUPTA for always giving (read: imposing) her expert advice whether or not required.

There are others whom I have not mentioned for some reason or the other but that does not imply that they mean any less to me. All these people have been a very important part of my life and I am thankfull to all of them in some way or the other.
Lastly I would like to congratulate all the winners.. they all truly desrve this.
